Who We Serve
The Algonquin Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry serves local residents who are
the unemployed/underemployed, the working poor, the homeless, individuals with
disabilities, the elderly and children. The Food Pantry currently distributes food to over
300 families in Algonquin and Lake in the Hills. The Pantry serves about 50 senior
citizens and 400 children each month. For a complete list of our client guidelines,

The mission of the Algonquin Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry is to provide
TEMPORARY immediate access to food for families in need living within the boundaries
of Algonquin and Lake in the Hills. We accomplish this with a dynamic group of
volunteers who staff the pantry, organize food drives and work with member churches
and other volunteer organizations within the community to help insure a family's food
supply is adequate during a time of need.

Foster community awareness and support of our neighbors in need.
Offer clients immediate access to basic food during DIFFICULT times.
